Preparing Your Quilt
To help us achieve the best possible results, please prepare your quilt as follows:
Backing Size
Your backing must extend a minimum of 8 inches beyond the quilt top on each side.
For example, an 80" × 80" quilt top requires backing measuring at least 96" × 96".
Loose Threads
Please trim loose threads from the front and back of your quilt top. Dark or brightly colored threads can sometimes show through lighter background fabrics after quilting.
Pieced Backing
If your quilt and backing have a definite top and bottom, please piece the backing so the backing seam runs horizontally.
Please clearly identify the top of the quilt top and the top of the backing so they can be properly aligned during quilting. We load the backing on the table with the selvage at the top and bottom. If you have any thick seams on the quilt, it’s best to have them lay horizontally on the quilting table to avoid rolling issues.
Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be added to the entire order.
